Who am I?

Who am I?

Just your everyday aspiring biologist! I graduated from Nipissing University in 2015 with my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I may be pursuing a different career path now, but that hasn't stopped me from running back into the woods with my camera whenever I get the chance!

The Trans Canada Trail runs close to my parent's place in Cookstown, and when I visit, I'll often walk along the trail with my dog.

This is a male Rose Breasted Grosbeak - unfortunately he wouldn't turn around to get a good shot of the breast colouration!

Got this Blue Jay right after he was bathing in a stream

You know spring must be here when the tent caterpillars show up!

Red-winged Blackbird Male calling

The Trans Canada Trail follows a stream for a short while north of Cookstown, and beavers will often dam it up.  There was a M/F Mallard duck pair sleeping on top of the dam when I went by.

Eastern Chipmunk waiting at the top of a tunnel on the trail
